Equipment

  • 1 glass jar or serving glass (for layering the parfait)
  • 1 spoon (for mixing yogurt and layering ingredients)
  • 1 knife (for chopping fruits)

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Greek yogurt or regular yogurt, plain or flavored
  • 1/2 cup fresh berries such as strawberries, blueberries, or raspberries
  • 1/4 cup granola
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup, optional
  • 1 tablespoon nuts e.g., almonds, walnuts, or cashews, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds or flaxseeds optional, for added nutrition

Instructions

  • Prepare the Ingredients: Wash and chop the fresh berries into bite-sized pieces.
If you’re using nuts, chop them into smaller pieces.
  • Layer the Parfait: In a glass or jar, add a spoonful of Greek yogurt as the first layer. Smooth it out evenly.
  • Add Fruits: Layer a portion of fresh berries over the yogurt. You can mix different fruits for variety.
  • Add Crunch: Sprinkle granola over the fruit layer to add crunch.
  • Repeat the Layers: Add another layer of yogurt, followed by more fruit and granola.
Repeat this process until the glass is filled or until all ingredients are used up.
  • Finish with Toppings: Drizzle honey or maple syrup on top for added sweetness.
Top with chopped nuts and seeds for extra crunch and nutrition.
  • Serve: Serve immediately or chill in the refrigerator for up to 2-3 days.
If making ahead, store the granola separately to maintain its crunch.

Notes

  • Customization: Feel free to use non-dairy yogurt (almond, soy, etc.) for a dairy-free version.
  • Crunch: For the best texture, store granola separately and add it just before serving.
  • Make-Ahead: Prepare individual servings in jars for easy grab-and-go meals.
  • Protein Boost: Add a scoop of protein powder to the yogurt for an extra protein boost.
