Vegan French Toast is a plant-based alternative to the classic breakfast dish, perfect for those who are vegan, dairy-free, or simply looking for a delicious, cruelty-free option. This recipe uses non-dairy milk and egg replacers like flaxseeds or chia seeds to create a batter that coats the bread and gives it a rich, satisfying flavor. The result is crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, ideal for a hearty breakfast or brunch. Customize it with your favorite toppings, such as maple syrup, fresh fruit, or powdered sugar, to make it your own.

Instructions
In a small bowl, combine the ground flaxseed (or chia seeds) with water and set it aside for 5 minutes to form a gel-like consistency.
In a medium-sized bowl, whisk together the plant-based milk, flaxseed gel, cinnamon, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt. Optionally, add maple syrup for extra sweetness.
Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat. Lightly grease it with vegan butter or oil.
Dip the bread slices into the batter, ensuring each side is coated evenly. Do not soak the bread for too long to avoid sogginess.
Place the soaked bread on the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and crispy.
Once cooked, serve immediately with your favorite toppings like maple syrup, fresh fruit, powdered sugar, or whipped cream.
