For the Avocado Spread

  • 1 large ripe avocado
  • 1/2 tbsp fresh lemon or lime juice
  • 1/4 tsp salt adjust to taste
  • 1/8 tsp black pepper

Optional Toppings

  • 4 cherry tomatoes sliced
  • 1 radish thinly sliced
  • 1 tbsp hemp seeds or chia seeds
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 1 tbsp microgreens or fresh herbs basil, cilantro, or parsley
  • 1/2 tbsp olive oil or balsamic glaze for drizzling

Instructions
 

Step 1: Toast the Bread

  • Toast the bread slices in a toaster or on a skillet over medium heat until golden brown and crispy. Set aside.

Step 2: Prepare the Avocado Spread

  • Cut the avocado in half, remove the pit, and scoop the flesh into a small bowl.
  • Add lemon or lime juice, salt, and black pepper to the avocado.
  • Mash everything together using a fork or potato masher until smooth or chunky, depending on preference.

Step 3: Assemble the Avocado Toast

  • Spread the mashed avocado evenly onto the toasted bread slices.
  • Add desired toppings such as cherry tomatoes, radishes, hemp seeds, red pepper flakes, or microgreens.
  • Drizzle with olive oil or balsamic glaze for extra flavor.
