Equipment

  • 1 Ice Cream Maker
  • 1 Mixing bowl
  • 1 whisk
  • 1 Rubber spatula
  • 1 Knife
  • 1 Cutting Board
  • 1 Freezer-safe container

Ingredients

For the Ice Cream Base:

  • 2 cups 480 ml heavy cream
  • 1 cup 240 ml whole milk
  • 3/4 cup 150 g granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon 15 ml vanilla extract

For the S'mores Mix-ins:

  • 1 cup 70 g mini marshmallows
  • 1/2 cup 50 g graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/2 cup 85 g chopped chocolate or chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Prepare the Ice Cream Base: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, whole milk, sugar, and vanilla extract until the sugar is fully dissolved.
  • Chill the Mixture: Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to chill the mixture thoroughly.
  • Churn the Ice Cream: Pour the chilled ice cream base into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions, usually 20–25 minutes, until the ice cream reaches soft serve consistency.
  • Add the S'mores Mix-ins: Gently fold in the mini marshmallows, graham cracker crumbs, and chopped chocolate.
Be careful not to overmix, as you want the chunks to remain intact.
  • Freeze the Ice Cream: Transfer the mixture to a freezer-safe container and smooth it out.
Cover with plastic wrap or a lid and freeze for at least 4 hours or until firm.
  • Serve: Scoop the ice cream into bowls or cones, and enjoy!
Optionally, top with more graham cracker crumbs or chocolate for extra flavor.

Notes

  • Texture Tip: If you want a smoother ice cream, you can blend the mixture after chilling it to eliminate any lumps before churning.
  • Customization: Feel free to experiment with different types of chocolate (milk, dark, or white chocolate) to suit your tastes. You can also add extra toppings like caramel or nuts for variation.
  • Marshmallow Flavor: For a more intense marshmallow flavor, consider toasting the mini marshmallows before mixing them in.
  • Storage: Store any leftover ice cream in an airtight container in the freezer for up to 1–2 weeks. Let it soften a bit before scooping for the best texture.
