1/2cupwater or fruit juiceoptional, for a smoother texture
Instructions
Prepare the Peaches:
Peel the peaches, remove the pits, and chop them into smaller pieces.
Blend the Ingredients:
In a blender or food processor, combine the chopped peaches, sugar, lemon juice, and water or fruit juice (if using). Blend until smooth and creamy. Taste and adjust the sweetness if needed.
Chill the Mixture:
Transfer the peach mixture into a bowl and place it in the refrigerator for at least one hour to chill.
Freeze the Sorbet:
If using an ice cream maker, pour the chilled mixture into the machine and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
If making the sorbet without an ice cream maker, pour the mixture into a shallow container and freeze. Every 30 minutes, stir with a fork to break up ice crystals. Continue for 2-3 hours until the sorbet reaches a smooth, icy texture.
Serve:
Once ready, scoop the peach sorbet into bowls or glasses. Serve immediately or store in an airtight container in the freezer for later.
Notes
Sweetener Variations: You can replace sugar with honey, maple syrup, or a sugar alternative to suit dietary preferences.
Texture Tip: If you don’t have an ice cream maker, be sure to stir the sorbet every 30 minutes while it freezes to achieve a smooth texture.
Storage: Store the sorbet in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks. Allow it to sit at room temperature for a few minutes before scooping if it becomes too hard.
Flavor Variations: Try adding other fruits like berries or mangoes to customize the flavor, or infuse it with fresh mint or basil for an extra touch of flavor.
