Equipment

  • 1 Small Pan (for toasting nuts)
  • 1 Spoon or Drizzle Bottle (for honey)
  • 1 Serving Bowl (or 2 small bowls)
  • 1 Small Knife (for chopping nuts if desired)

Ingredients

  • 1 cup 240g Greek yogurt (plain or flavored)
  • 2 tbsp 30g Honey (raw or flavored)
  • 1/4 cup 30g Mixed nuts (walnuts, almonds, pistachios, etc.)

Optional toppings:

  • 1/4 cup 30g Fresh berries (blueberries, strawberries, etc.)
  • 2 tbsp 20g Granola
  • 1 tsp 5g Chia seeds or flaxseeds

Instructions

Prepare the Greek Yogurt

  • Scoop 1 cup of Greek yogurt into a serving bowl. You can use full-fat, low-fat, or non-fat yogurt depending on your preference.

Toast the Nuts

  • Heat a small pan over medium heat. Add your mixed nuts and toast for about 4-5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they become golden brown and aromatic.
Be careful not to burn them. Alternatively, you can toast them in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 5-10 minutes, stirring halfway.

Drizzle the Honey

  • Once the nuts are toasted, drizzle 2 tbsp of honey over the yogurt. For an even drizzle, use a spoon or a drizzle bottle.

Top with Nuts and Optional Additions

  • Sprinkle the toasted nuts generously over the yogurt. If using, add fresh berries, granola, or seeds for extra texture and flavor.

Serve

  • Serve immediately in your chosen bowl or jar. You can also prepare this snack in advance and store the components separately to keep the nuts crunchy.

Notes

  • Customization: Feel free to use your favorite nuts such as almonds, walnuts, pistachios, or cashews. You can also try different varieties of honey like lavender or orange blossom for a unique twist.
  • Vegan Option: For a dairy-free version, use plant-based yogurt such as almond or coconut yogurt, and substitute honey with maple syrup or agave.
  • Meal Prep: You can prepare the yogurt and honey ahead of time and store it in the fridge. Keep the toasted nuts separate until you're ready to serve, to maintain their crunchiness.
  • Storage: If making this recipe in bulk, store the nuts in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. The yogurt can be refrigerated for up to 3 days.
