  • 1 Knife
  • 1 Small Brush (for oil)
  • 1 oven

Ingredients

  • 2 Pita Bread 6-inch each
  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 1 tsp Dried Oregano
  • 1/2 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1/4 tsp Black Pepper optional
  • Optional: 1 tsp Lemon Zest or Crumbled Feta for garnish

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Slice each pita bread into 6 to 8 triangles.
  • Place the pita triangles on a baking sheet in a single layer.
  • Drizzle olive oil over the pita triangles and use a brush or your hands to coat them evenly.
  • Sprinkle oregano, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper over the pita pieces. Make sure the seasoning is evenly distributed.
  • Bake the pita chips for 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
  • Remove the pita chips from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes.
  • Optional: Garnish with lemon zest or crumbled feta for extra flavor.
  • Serve with your favorite dips, like tzatziki, hummus, or feta dip.

Notes

  • Store any leftover pita chips in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 4 days.
  • If you want extra crispiness, bake them for a few more minutes, but be careful not to burn them.
  • For a variation, you can add spices like chili flakes, smoked paprika, or fresh herbs like thyme or basil.
  • To make the recipe vegan, simply avoid adding feta or any dairy-based garnishes.
  • Feel free to experiment with other breads like flatbreads or naan for a different texture.
