Equipment

  • Blender or Food Processor (1 unit)
  • Knife: 1 unit
  • Cutting Board: 1 unit
  • Spoon or Spatula: 1 unit
  • Measuring spoons (1 set)

Ingredients

  • 1 ripe avocado
  • ½ cup mayonnaise or vegan mayo
  • 1 garlic clove minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
  • 2 tablespoons fresh cilantro chopped
  • 1 small jalapeño deseeded and chopped (optional for heat)
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Prepare the Ingredients: Slice the avocado in half, remove the pit, and scoop out the flesh.
Mince the garlic and cilantro, and chop the jalapeño (if using).
  • Blend the Ingredients: In a blender or food processor, add the avocado, mayonnaise, garlic, lime juice, cilantro, and jalapeño (if using).
    Blend until smooth and creamy.
  • Season to Taste: Taste the aioli and add salt and pepper to your liking.
If you prefer a tangier flavor, add more lime juice.
  • Chill and Serve: Let the aioli chill in the refrigerator for 30 minutes to let the flavors develop.
Serve as a dip, topping, or spread.

Notes

  • Avocado ripeness is key! Make sure your avocado is soft but not mushy for the smoothest texture.
  • Spice Level: If you like more heat, leave the seeds in the jalapeño or add extra hot sauce.
  • This aioli stores well in the fridge for up to 3 days. If the avocado starts browning, just give it a quick stir.
  • Make it vegan by using vegan mayo or Greek yogurt as a substitute for the mayonnaise.
