Equipment

  • 1 Air fryer (any brand/model)
  • 1 Medium skillet (for cooking meat, optional)
  • 1 Knife (for chopping jalapeños)
  • 1 Cutting Board

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Tortilla chips roughly 2 oz
  • 1/2 cup Shredded cheese cheddar or Mexican blend
  • 1/2 cup Ground beef or chicken optional
  • 1-2 Jalapeños sliced
  • 1/4 cup Sour cream for dipping
  • 1/4 cup Salsa for dipping
  • 1/4 cup Guacamole for dipping

Instructions

Prepare the ingredients:

  • If using ground beef or chicken, cook the meat in a skillet over medium heat until fully cooked.
Break it into small crumbles and season with salt and pepper to taste. Slice the jalapeños.

Assemble the nacho bites:

  • In the air fryer basket, lay a small handful of tortilla chips in a single layer.
Sprinkle shredded cheese over the chips.
Add a few pieces of cooked meat (if using) and sliced jalapeños on top of the cheese.

Air fry:

  • Set the air fryer to 375°F (190°C). Air fry the nacho bites for 3-5 minutes or until the cheese has melted and the chips are crispy.
Check halfway through to ensure they aren’t burning.

Serve:

  • Once the nacho bites are ready, carefully remove them from the air fryer.
Serve with sour cream, salsa, and guacamole on the side for dipping.

Notes

  • Vegetarian Option: For a vegetarian version, replace the meat with black beans or corn.
  • Customization: Add more toppings like diced tomatoes, green onions, or olives to personalize your nacho bites.
  • Storage: Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days. Reheat in the air fryer to keep the chips crispy.
  • Spice Level: Adjust the spiciness by adding more jalapeños or using a spicy cheese blend.
